Olympus Cameras - The Passion Project
TLA was tasked with raising awareness for Olympus camera's PEN range on social media and generating jaw dropping imagery which showed off what the cameras were capabable of. Through our four year relationship with the brand we had identified fashion and lifestyle influencers as a powerful marketing channel for Olympus, resulting in product sell out (please see previous case study) so focused our efforts here.
We devised a year long photography led campaign working with 4 'headline' influencers boasting large and highly engaged audiences across multiple social media channels.
We challenged these influencers to tell us what their secret passion was…the thing they'd dreamed of doing as child…when the idea of forging a career 'online' was frankly ludicrous!
TLA then designed and created those experiences from scratch – on-boarding expert partners and allowing our influencers to live out their dreams and capture the magic through the lens of their Olympus cameras.
This was no small task – Fashion YouTuber InTheFrow had aspirations of being an astronaut, so we partnered with NASA, gave her astronaut training and took her and her Olympus PEN into Zero Gravity.
Model and It Girl Zara Martin dreamed of being a high octane rally driver, so raced a fleet of 8 vintage cars from Ravello – Positano – Rome – Portofino – Monaco.
DJ Charlotte de Carle wanted to experience life as part of an ancient tribe, so we arranged for her to live with Kenya's Samburu people in camp for a week. Highlights included singles night and goat milking.
Fashion and travel blogger Lucy Williams had cowgirl aspirations so headed off into the wilderness on horseback, traversing the three Wild West states with a native Cowboy has her guide.
This visually show stopping activity drove 28m impressions online for the brand via content created and shared by the influencers.
